Lilac Deep-Sea Diver Sculpture

Molded and finished by hand, this singular majolica sculpture depicts a standing deep-sea diver with two seagulls seemingly invading his lifeless figure. It belongs to the Big Humans Collection, a series of anthropomorphic pieces coming from visionary dimensions. Meticulously hollowed out to prevent it from breaking during the first firing at 960°C, the design is later fired at 930°C to seal the glossy lilac glaze.
